Palani, Sankaran

Sankaran Palani received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Madras, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, in 1966; the M.Tech. degree in control systems engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, West Bengal, India, in 1968; and the Ph.D. degree in control systems engineering from the University of Madras, in 1982.,Since 1968, he has been a Faculty Member with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, and became a Professor and Head of the Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering in 1996. Currently, he is the Director of Sudharsan Engineering College, Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu. His research interests include design of intelligent controllers for dynamic systems, power electronics, and power system control.
