Mukhopadhyay, Rahul

Rahul Mukhopadhyay is with the Research Group, Azim Premji Foundation. Rahul’s primary areas of interest in teaching and research are Sociology of Education and Educational Policies and Programmes. He has been engaged with current policy concerns in school education in India through completed and ongoing research on the ‘Changing nature of the public and the private in school education’, ‘Early childhood education’, ‘Socio-historical study of early literacy in Bengal’, ‘Accountability in school systems’, ‘Right to education’, and ‘Quality of education’. Rahul is also associated as a visiting faculty with the Master of Arts in Education (Elementary) at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. He holds a Ph.D. (Social Anthropology) from the Manipal University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Goa Institute of Management and a Bachelor of Science (Honours in Economics), 1992, From St. Xavier's College, Calcutta, University of Calcutta
