"Central Institute of Aviation Motors named after PI Baranov was founded by a decree of the Revolutionary Council of the USSR (Protocol No 27 of December 3, 1930). CIAM is a Federal State Unitary Enterprise. In 1994 the Russian Federation Government issued a decree which awarded CIAM named after PI Baranov a status of State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation. (The status was confirmed in 1997, 2000 and 2002.)"
