Mōri, Mitsuya

Mitsuya Mōri was born in Fukui, Japan. He obtained his BA in Aesthetics from Tokyo University, his MA in Theatre Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his PhD from Meiji University, Tokyo. He was appointed as a Lecturer of Theatre Studies at the Department of Art Studies, Seijo University, Tokyo, in 1967. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 1970, and to Professor in 1983. He served as the Director of the University Library from 1995 to 1997 and the Dean of Faculty of Arts and Literature from 1998 to 2000. He retired in March 2008. He is now Professor Emeritus at Seijo University.
