Leslie, Robert F.

Born in Reading; served in the British Army, 1939-1946; studied at University College London, where he pursued a doctorate in Slavonic and East European Studies, 1948-1951; joined Queen Mary College in 1950 and was Head of the History Department there from 1970 until his retirement in 1982; in 1986, left his history of the College unfinished due to ill health; was alive as of 1994, but the Archives does not know his date of death.
