Hong, Yinxing

Professor Hong Yinxing was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province in 1950. He obtained his Master`s Degree of Economics from Nanjing University in 1982 and his Ph.D. of Economics from Renmin University of China in 1987. He became professor of Nanjing University Business School in 1989 and was elected the Secretary of the CPC Committee of Nanjing University in 2003. He is also Director of the Nanjing University Center for Yangtze River Delta`s Socio-economic Development. He is currently a member of the Theoretical Economics Discipline Appraisal Group of the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council, and a member of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial People`s Congress. He is President of Jiangsu Federation of Philosophy and Social Sciences and a member of the Social Sciences Commission of the Ministry of Education. In addition, he serves as Deputy Chief-Editor of The Economist and Vice-Chair of the Chinese Society for Research of The Capital.
