Stets, Jan E.

Jan Stets is a sociological social psychologist. She is currently Professor of Sociology and Co-Director of the Social Psychology Research Laboratory at the University of California, Riverside. She is past Director of the Sociology Program at the National Science Foundation. She received her PhD in sociology from Indiana University in 1987. Following a one-year NIMH Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of New Hampshire, she held the positions of assistant and associate professor at Washington State University. In 2002, she moved to the University of California, Riverside as full professor
