Folk, Johanna B.

is a licensed clinical psychologist, associate professor, and the associate director of the Juvenile in Justice Behavioral Health Lab, University of California San Francisco Department of Psychiatry, San Francisco at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. Her research and clinical work focuses on addressing behavioral health needs of legal system-impacted youth and families. She uses community-engaged and longitudinal research methods to understand adverse childhood experience effects and legal system contacts on adolescent trajectories, as well as participatory codesign methods to develop and evaluate technology-based interventions.
