Glennis Ravenscroft has a BA degree with majors in geography and history from the University of the Witwatersrand and a teachers' diploma in higher education from the Johannesburg College of Education. She has 44 years' teaching experience and has taught Grades 11 and 12 geography for 36 years. Glennis was also a senior marker for the the Grade 12 South Africa final geography examination for approximately 20 years. Glennis has been writing textbook material for 2 years. She was the co-author of the Focus on Geography Grades 10 to 12 textbooks, the X-Kit Geography study skills books for Grades 10 to 12 (both of these are textbooks used in schools in South Africa) and the Living Geography textbooks for Namibia Grades 8 and 9 and Grades 10-11. Glennis has alos co-authored geography textbooks for Lesotho, Eswatini, Malawi and Zambia.
