Studied ethnomusicology in Taipei and social anthropology in Ulaanbaatar; was employed at the Institute for Social Anthropology at the Austrian Academy of Sciences from 2016-2020; author and co-author of several peer-reviewed articles and a book chapter on socialist and post-socialist cultural policy, nationalism, mobilisation, infrastructure, and artefact transfers; research areas include anthropology of art, ethnomusicology, and anthropology of postsocialism
