MacLeod, Leo

Leo MacLeod is an author, coach, trainer, and speaker on leadership. He’s the author of From the Ground Up: Stories and Lessons from Architects and Engineers Who Learned to Be Leaders (Piehouse Publishing). As founder of Training. Coaching. Pie., Leo helps firms with leadership development, transition, and emotional intelligence and why baking pie is a great way to develop soft skills. With a BA in English with honors from Portland State University, he has had a successful career as a freelance writer, fundraiser, and advertising executive and marketing consultant. For many years, Leo has written columns for Zweig Letter, Daily Journal of Commerce, and the Business Journal. He helped develop a successful leadership program for the Oregon chapter of the American Council for Engineering Companies (ACEC). Leo is a sought-out speaker on leadership development, known for his humor and storytelling.
