Research and teaching interests: health care policy, medical informatics, children and the legal system, and international health care

At UVA, his appointments have been in the School of Medicine (Pediatrics, Anesthesiology, and Public Health Sciences), in the School of Law, and in the Darden School of Business Administration. He has held several senior management positions in the UVA Health System including Chief of Staff (CMO) and Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs.
