Hill, John

1948

is a senior lecturer in the Biblical Studies Department at Yarra Theological Union. His specialisation is in the Book of Jeremiah, and the period of the Babylonian Exile. He also explores the relationship between the Old Testament and issues in contemporary Australia, especially those related to the environment, aboriginal dispossession, and national reconciliation. He has published studies both internationally and in Australia, and posts his work on his website (www.austbiblica.org). He is also a member of the pastoral team at the John Pierce Centre for the Deaf in Melbourne.
