Prof. em. Bengt Joel Andersson passed away on May 27, 2003 at an age of 84 years. Bengt Joel Andersson was a docent, at that time a position, of Hydrodynamics 1950-1955, associate professor ("laborator") of Mechanics 1955-1958 and professor of Hydrodynamics during the period 1958-1985. In 1992, the Hydrodynamics department was merged with the departments of Gasdynamics and Mechanic
