Borisov, Vladimir

Vladimir Yevgenievich BORISOV (b. 1943), is an electrician and a member of the Action Group for the Defence of Civil Rights in the USSR. From 1964 to 1968 he was in a psychiatric hospital prison in Leningrad (9 Arsenal Street), charged under Article 70 of the RSFSR Criminal Code. In May 1969 he signed the [first] appeal to the [Human Rights Commission of the] United Nations [CCE 8.10] and a letter in defence of P. G. Grigorenko. In June Borisov was summoned by the doctor in charge of the city’s Vyborg district out-patients Clinic for Psychiatric & Neurological Diseases, where he had been registered since his discharge from the special hospital in the spring of 1968.
