Quỳnh-Anh Trần, Arlette

Arlette Quỳnh-Anh Trần was born in Germany, and was raised in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. From 2006 to 2007 she was hired to be assistant curator for 2 prominent curators / artists; Rirkrit Tiravanija and Gridthiya Gaweewong in Saigon Open City project, the first attempt to realize a big-scaled manifestation of contemporary art in Vietnam. Following by a period contributing routinely in the administrating field in multiple projects in Southeast Asia and Europe, Arlette then moved to Berlin to study history of art and philosophy. From February 2013, Arlette returned to Vietnam, working for Sàn Art to help develop the local contemporary art scene.
