She is an expertin Late Republican and Augustan poetry and her research to date has focused on magic in elegy and in Horace’s Satires and Epodes. In addition to magic in Latin literature, her research interests include the emotions, particularly as reflected in Latin elegy, satire, iambic, andepic, the interaction between poetry and ancient medicine, and narratives of trauma in Latin literature.
