THOMASEDWARDLAWRENSON (1918-1982) Tom Lawrenson whose death occurred last autumn was a well-known and much liked figure in the field of seventeenth-century French scholarship. He was educated at Ermysted's School at Skipton and at the University of Manchester where he graduated with First Class Honours in French in 1939
