Hans Brisch ... died on February 22, 2006 ... Dr. Brisch was born on January 25, 1940, in Kaiserslautern ... He later served an administrative position for the Illinois Board of Higher Education from 1972 to 1974 before taking a position as Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in 1974 ... Chancellor for the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education 1987, a post that would be his last-and his most noteworthy. Serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education from 1987 to 2003, he led a state system comprised of 25 state colleges and universities, nine constituent agencies, two higher education centers, and independent colleges and universities coordinated with the State System. Dr. Brisch became chancellor emeritus on January 5, 2003, when he was succeeded by Dr. Paul G. Risser
