Professor of Dance, Music, and Performance in global contexts at the University for Music and Dance in Cologne. She received her PhD in Culture and Performance from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and BA and MA respectively in Political Science and Sociology from Bogazici University in Istanbul.
