Wexler, Sima

Born in Moscow, Sima Wexler has an MA degree in Philology from Lomonosov State Moscow University and a PhD in Russian and Slavic Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is Russian – English – Hebrew literary translator and interpreter, working with high-ranking delegations to Israel and Israeli delegations abroad (including 2 Presidential and 4 Prime-Ministers' visits to CIS). She also lectures on translation and interpretation at Bar-Ilan University. Among the books she has translated into Russian are Nathan Shaham’s Rosendorf Quartet, Arthur Hertzberg’s The Zionist Idea, Edmund Burke’s Reflections on the Revolution in France, and Isaiah Berlin’s Four Essays on Liberty. She has also published a number of academic articles on translation. Sima is a member of AIIC (International Association of Conference Interpreters). She lives in Jerusalem
