DR. SRI RAM(A) SINHA (24.4.1931 – 15.4.1985) Sri Ram Sinha belonged to one of the illustrious Zamindar (landlord) family of Azamgarh-Ghosi in Central India. His father, Babu Jaigovind Prasad Saheb, was an influential Zamindar of the region and a Sub-Inspector in British Police Force (since early 1900s). Sri Ram was born to Babu Jai Govind Prasad (a recipient of Queen’s Medal in 1932 for his exemplary services) on 24 April, 1931 at Safdarganj, District Barabanki, U.P. (India) during his father’s postings as Sub-Inspector ... He started his professional career as Lecturer in Department of Mathematics of University of Allahabad in 1951 ...
