Kingston, David G. I.

He obtained a Ph.D. in chemistry under Lord Todd and Donald Cameron at Cambridge University in 1963. Subsequently, he held postdoctoral positions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Cambridge University, before taking a faculty position at The State University of New York in Albany in 1966. In 1971, he moved to Virginia Tech, where he established an active research program on the chemistry of natural products, with a focus on the discovery and chemistry of anticancer and antimalarial natural products.
