Nivoli, Giancarlo

full professor in psychiatry at the ’Università degli Studi di Sassari until 2011; doctorate in Psychiatry and Clinical Criminology; formerly psychiatrist consultant for courts and expert psychiatrist in Italian prisons; responsible for treatment units for mentally ill violent offenders at the Pinel Psychiatric Institute, affiliated with the University of Montreal; since 2011 he has been the president of the Società italiana di Psichiatria forense
