"Arshavir Shamlian, the one-time editor of Yeridasart Hayasdan, the organ of the Henchagian political party published in New York City, was born in 1884 in Garin. [...] He was also one of the leaders of the Hgnchagian [vielmehr: Henchagian] Party. Following his death, his memoirs and his other works were published by his friends and admirers. The first volume of his Henchig [vielmehr: Penchig] Keragan contains his short stories and his memoirs of Upper Armenia."
