Goulder, Jill
I came to Ancient Near Eastern archaeology as a second career, and achieved a PhD at the Institute of Archaeology, UCL in 2018. Between 2007 and 2016 I worked as a trench manager on a range of Near Eastern and other fieldwork projects (see below). My book, 'Working Donkeys in 4th-3rd Millennium BC Mesopotamia: insights from modern development studies (2020)', has been published by Routledge and the Institute of Archaeology UCL. My archaeological interests include human-animal relationship studies and food in antiquity. I speak reasonable French and Spanish and some basic Turkish and Arabic.
