ODDVAR F. NYGAARD, 86, born Oct. 30, 1922 in Oslo, Norway, died Oct. 17, 2009 in Springfield, VA. For 44 years a resident of Shaker Hts., OH., Oddvar retired in 1991 as Professor of Radiology at Case Western Reserve University and continued for another decade as Emeritus Professor. He sang for 25 years with the Singers' Club of Cleveland. Oddvar is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vibeke Nygaard; daughter Kristina; son Torbjorn (Lisa) of Ridgewood, NJ.; and grandsons, Erik and Peter. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Singers' Club of Cleveland, P.O. Box 18828, Cleveland, OH 44118. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Greenspring Retirement Village, Springfield, VA
