He received his Bachelor’s in English and Economics and Master’s in English from Tribhuvan University, and completed his M.Phil. in English from the Institute of Advanced Communication, Education and Research, Pokhara University, Kathmandu. Before he joined the University of Missouri in 2009, he spent a year doing graduate coursework at the University of Texas at El Paso
