Arthur Judson Palmer was born in Brooklyn, New York, on February 2, 1884 ... Beginning in 1909, he served as editor of The American Press, a weekly journal for newspapermen, was in charge of advertising and sales promotion for the Montague Mailing Machine Company from 1912-1915, and was advertising manager for Thomas A. Edison, Inc. in 1918. He also held positions as advertising executive and writer for corporations such as National Carbon Company, Bristol Myers, Lional Corporation, Carter Medicine Company, and Steuben Division of Corning Glass Works. As well, he worked on promotional projects for special events and anniversaries. ... Palmer moved from New Jersey to Carson City, Nevada in 1962, and even though he was retired, he continued to produce articles for the local, regional, and national presses. He died in Carson City on February 10, 1968 at the age of 84
