Harriet was born January 29, 1929 in New York City ... She first met Denis when they were working together at the Library Neighborhood Center of the New Haven Free Public Library ... During her career, in addition to the New Haven Free Public Library, she worked as a Children's Librarian for the Bridgeport School System, and later the South Windsor Public Library. She retired as the Assistant Director of the Bristol Public Library
