Andrews, Vernon L.

Vernon L. Andrews, Ph.D., received his doctorate in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also obtained his bachelor’s degree in English from California State University, Chico (CSUC) in 1981, and later in 1989, he earned a master’s degree in Public Communication from Chico. Before leaving for his Ph.D., Dr. Andrews worked for six years as a public relations manager and company historian for Hewlett-Packard Company in Palo Alto, California. He currently teaches in the Multicultural and Gender Studies Department at California State University, Chico. Dr. Andrews writes for newspapers, magazines, and has extensive radio and television interview experience in addition to his academic publishing and speaking.
