Ahn, Byungil

Byungil Ahn is an associate professor of history at Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan. His research deals with how rural women and their families experienced the Chinese Revolution at the level of their daily lives. His earlier research focused on women’s childbirth experiences, and he is now conducting archival research and interviews on women’s role in property/inheritance management within the family during the Mao period.
