Runyan, Timothy J.

Timothy J. Runyan is Professor and Faculty Fellow in the Honors College at East Carolina University, Greenville, NC. For nine years he was director of the graduate program in maritime history and underwater archaeology. From 2007-10 he served as Acting Manager of the Maritime Heritage Program, Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Runyan received his PhD from the University of Maryland; a fellowship supported research in London. His academic career includes appointments at Cleveland State University, Oberlin College, and East Carolina University.
