Ricart, Domingo

Domingo Ricart (1940 - 1986) was born on May 9th, 1901, in Molins de Rei, Barcelona, Spain. He obtained a degree in History and Literature from the University of Barcelona in 1923, a certificate from Ecole des Chartres (Sorbonne) in 1927, and his Ph.D. from the University of Barcelona, Madrid in 1927 ... Ricart would eventually arrive in the United States, taking a professorship at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, ultimately becoming Head o f the department in 1966 . He maintained his post at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, from 1948 to 1968
