Dios, Anjeline de

From Manila, Philippines, Anjeline de Dios is a cultural geographer researching the intersection of mobility, music, creative labor, and ethnography. She completed her bachelors and masters degrees in philosophy (Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines; Linköping University, Sweden), and holds a PhD in geography from the National University of Singapore. Prior to joining the Department of Cultural Studies, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Asia Research Institute, NUS. She is co-editor of The Elgar Handbook Geographies of Creativity (Edward Elgar Publishing, forthcoming 2020), and is working on a booklength manuscript based on her ethnographic dissertation on the labor geographies of overseas Filipino musicians. Parallel to her academic work, Anjeline is a vocal performer who practices in collaborative contexts of improvised performance (jazz, dance, sound art), and community meditation.
