Alwadi, Nada

Journalist, writer, and researcher. She works as an Assignment Editor in the Digital Department at the Middle East Broadcasting Networks in Washington DC. In her current position, Alwadi is working ·on a project directed at countering terrorism through social and digital media. She is a Ph.D. candidate in public policy at Virginia Tech University. Alwadi has been working as a journalist, covering politics and human rights issues in her native country, Bahrain, and in the Middle East, since 2003. She holds a master's degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis on women's political empowerment in the media.
