Buddhavarapu, Shruti

She completed her Bachelors of Arts in English (Hons) from Delhi University in 2009, followed by a Masters of Arts in English Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2011. She has worked as a sub-editor in a national newspaper, Pune Mirror, before moving on to working as an editor for the international children’s publishing house, Scholastic, in the education department. Shruti is widely published as a poet, feature writer and book reviewer. She is also a freelance editor, with experience in the fields of translation, children’s literature and education. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Telugu; and has working knowledge of Marathi, Tamil and Kannada. The MA in Gender, Race, Sexuality and Social Justice will be her second Masters degree
