Painter, photographer, curator, graffiti artist, versatile musician, performance artist; of Cape Verdian Portugese descent; photographic technician; attended San Francisco Art Institute in the late 70's and New York University in the early 80's; operated the "Nite Gallery" in New York, which he also used as a studio in the mid-80's
