Spencer, Jane

Professor of English at the University of Exeter, UK. Her research interests are in literature from 1660—1830. She has published most extensively on the narrative fiction and drama, but also on the periodical literature and poetry of the period. She is especially interested in feminist approaches to issues of cultural authority and canon-formation.
