2022 professor and Head of the Department of Mathematical Demography & Statistics at the International Institute for Population Sciences, India. He holds a B.A. in Statistics, Mathematics and Physics from Gauhati University, a M.A. in Statistics from Aligarh Muslim University and a PhD in Population Studies from the IIPS.
