B.A. University of Peradeni; former member of advisory board of the Department of Archaeology; former assistant director of Department of Archaeology; former media consultant of the Central Cultural Fund; former co-ordinating secretary of the Ministry of National Heritage; graduated from Peradeniya University in 1968; joined the government service in 1971; joined the Ministry of Health in 1974; in 1982, he joined the Department of Archaeology; functions as the secretary of Prof. Senerat Paranavitana Foundation; lecturer of tourism attached to the Tourism Development Authority
