Florence, Éric

Dr Eric Florence is the Director and Researcher of the French Centre for Research on Contemporary China (CEFC), and also Associate Professor at the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the University of Liege. His research fields focuses on cultural politics and representation of labour in contemporary China, identity politics and state formation in post-socialist China and migration studies (politics of illegalisation and informalisation). Dr Florence is the author of a number of scientific publications in the field of migration in Europe and China. He holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the University of Liege as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Political sciences and International Relations from Catholic University of Louvain and is a graduate in Chinese Studies, National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilisations (INALCO)
