Person
Sæther, Elin
Elin Sæther is an associate professor in Social studies education. Her research interests are clustered around two related nodes, one is sustainability education and the other is diversity in education. Currently, she does research on secondary school students’ discourses about sustainability and change through a collaborative project involving teachers and MA students. Within the diversity node, she is involved in projects exploring multicultural events and how student teachers conceptualize diversity. She has a background in Human geography that has shaped her interest in, and understanding of, politics, citizenship and civil society engagement. The issues that she is working mostly on now are interdisciplinary and provide great opportunities to work both within the discipline of social studies education and across disciplinary boundaries.
