Settoul, Elyamine

Elyamine Settoul is currently postdoctoral fellow at IRSEM, French Ministry of Defense. He has been a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence. He has a PhD in political science from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris: his thesis deals with the enlistment of military personnel of immigrant origin. His field of interest includes migration issues, ethnicity, discriminations and political Islam. His academic articles and reports include "You're in the French army now: institutionalizing Islam in the Republie>s army'', Religion, State and Society, vol 43, 2015 and "Analyser l'immigration postcoloniale en milieu militaire : retour sur les enseignements d'une enquete ethnographique", Les Champs de Mars,Juin2015.
