Jesuit of Calcutta Province, obtained doctorate in theology and anthropology from the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, and from University of California, Berkeley, wrote dissertation on "Eucharist and social ethics", taught systematic theology and theological methods at Jnana-Deepa Vidyapeeth, Pune
