Lewis, Daniel Martyn

Daniel Martyn Lewis has performed throughout the UK and in his native Australia to much critical acclaim. Now based in Wales, his professors have included Ronald Farren-Price (University of Melbourne), John Lill (London) and Arnaldo Cohen (Royal Northern College of Music). Recent performances include a recital in the Bach2000 Series at St Martin-in-the-Fields, London, and a debut recital at the Newport Music Festival, Rhode Island. ... He is a specialist in the music of Bach, and has made many original arrangements and transcriptions. Highlights for the coming year include complete performances of Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier in the Hay and Beaumaris Festivals, UK, and further recitals in New York including the St Peter’s Bach Festival and the Riverside Church series, as well as his debut at the Carnegie Recital Hall. He has been broadcast on the ABC (Australia), National Public Radio (US), BBC Wales, S4C Television and Polish Television, and is the recipient of many prizes and awards which include a medal from the Worshipful Company of Musicians in London.
