Michael A de Rooij is Director of Applications at Efficient Power Conversion Corporation. He received his Ph.D. from the Rand Afrikaans University, South Africa in 1998. Dr. de Rooij worked at Windspire Energy Inc., where he helped develop the next generation of small vertical-axis wind turbine inverters. Prior to Windspire Energy, Dr. de Rooij worked at the GE Global Research Center where his research interests and activities included high-frequency power converters, photovoltaic conversters, magnetic resonance imaging systems. Dr. de Rooij is a Senior Member of IEEE.
