Dr. Weckbecker earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Film, Television and Media Studies, University of Auckland, Aotearoa/New Zealand, B.A. (Hons) in Media Studies from Massey University, Aotearoa/New Zealand, as well as a M.A. in Media Studies, Political Studies and Sociology from the University of Trier, Germany. - Assistant Professor in Communication and Media, Zayed University early and documentary film, media technologies and history, strategic and political communication, critical theory, governmentality and surveillance.
