Perego, Elisa

Tenured research fellow in English Language and Linguistics at the University of Trieste. She graduated cum laude in Foreign Languages (English and Hungarian) and was awarded a PhD in Linguistics (2004) at the University of Pavia. She currently teaches English linguistics at the Education Faculty of the University of Trieste. Her publications lie mainly in the field of audiovisual translation, relating specifically to subtitling, dubbing and audio description. Besides considering the linguistic aspects that characterize these translation methods, she is particularly interested in investigating their viewer/listener-oriented strategies via eye tracking methodologies.
