Matthias Walter studied Business Administration at the University of Augsburg with major in Finance & Information Management. In 2010, he graduated his studies with a diploma. Since April 2010, he is scientific assistant at the Research Center Finance & Information Management at the University of Augsburg where he is about to finish his doctoral thesis in late 2015. His research is focused on the areas "financial management" and "resource management". During his PhD, he further collaborated with different partners within various consulting projects, e.g., with GEWOFAG Holding GmbH, Infineon Technologies AG, and Radeberger Group
